USASA Slopestyle event, Diamond Peak

Emerald Bay in Winter, Emerald Bay State Park

Ski to the water’s edge and look for bald eagles. Intermediate skiers, 7-mile trip for 4-6 hours. Meet at the Eagles Lakes parking area at 10 a.m. Bring skis, lunch, water, sunscreen and clothing for varied weather conditions. Call 694-2248.

Animals in the Winter, Grover Hot Springs State Park

Snowshoe or hike (if little snow) around the park in search of active winter animals in this 1-mile, easy tour. Meet at 10 a.m. at the Red Lakes parking area. Bring snowshoes, winter hiking boots, snacks, water, sunscreen and layered clothing. Call 694-2248.
