THS golf takes fourth in Fernley, keeps fourth place
Truckee boys’ golf didn’t have the finish they wanted on Thursday in Fernley at Desert Lakes, but they didn’t get hurt too bad from their finish, either. They shot a team score of 436 while Bishop Manogue made it two tournament wins in a row with 420 team strokes for first, closely followed by Lowry at 421 and Fernley in third at 424.
Kyle Anderson led Truckee with 82 strokes, followed by Wes Hollabough with 83, Doug Coombs and Justin Draheim both finished with 90, Kevin Waters finished with 91 and Brett Poulin hit a 93.
In the Northern 3A standings four tournaments in, they have 1,799 total team strokes while Lowry leads with 1,771 total team strokes on the season with five tournaments left, 28 less than Truckee. Up next is Lowry’s home tournament on Thursday while THS’ home tournament is May 8 at Lahontan.
