Torpedoes set records at Reno meet

At the Reno Aquatics Club last weekend, swimmers for the Truckee-Tahoe Swim Team Torpedoes continued to write the record book for Truckee swimming.

Lauren Browning, 14, led the team with two second-place and two third-place finishes.

Ten-year-old David Rogers managed two eighth-place finishes, while each swimmer had at least one personal best time.

It was Rachel Holm and Julieta Rodriguez’s first competition each.

“TTST is growing rapidly,” said head coach Nancy Rose. “We have more than 40 new swimmers since September.”
