Track and Field: Goodpaster makesleap to state title in triple jump

The Truckee girls finished 11th and the Truckee boys finished 13th at the Nevada 3A State Track and Field Championships at the Dave Nolte Northern Nevada Track Facility at Reed High School in Reno.

On May 21, Maisha Goodpaster took first in the triple jump with a 32-9.75. She was also sixth in the long jump with a 14-11 in Saturday’s action.



For the boys, Gordon Neelands was sixth in the 800 meters with a time of 2:24.89, and Justin Grooms took eighth in the triple jump (38-0.5).

Spring Creek won the girls 3A team title, while Bishop Manogue took first in the boys division.
