Triathlon not short on challenge

Though there was momentary confusion over the race course layout, Mike Behrin crossed the finish line into victory at a mini-triathlon at Donner Lake Sunday.

Sponsored by Tahoe-Donner and set at the private beach on the east end of Donner Lake, the mini-triathlon features a 3/8 mile swim, three mile run and 10 mile bike, an abbreviated version of the larger Donner Lake Triathlon a few weeks ago.

Finishing in 55.11, Behrin took first, a full 20 seconds ahead of Jeff Schloss.

There was confusion over where to turn somewhere in the running portion of the race, so times were adjusted accordingly, giving Behrin the win outright.

The following are the rest of the field, including individuals and teams.
