Truckee basketball | Mock, Oberriter receive All-League honors

Truckee basketball players Sydney Mock and Nick Oberriter were honored with selections to their respective Northern Division I-A All-League teams.

Mock, a junior point guard, was voted to the girls All-League first team as well as the All-State second team. Oberriter, a senior point guard, received All-League honorable mention.

In boys voting, Elko’s Chris Klekas was named Coach of the Year, and Elko senior Nathan Klekas was the league’s Most Valuable Player.

Maddy Merschel, a senior from Spring Creek, was the girls MVP, and Lowry’s Chelsea Cabatbat was Coach of the Year.

The awards are determined by the Northern Division I-A coaches.
