Truckee cyclists post top finishes in Tour de Nez
Jason Walker of the Truckee-based Marc Pro-Strava cycling team raced to a first-place finish in the Masters 35+ division at the 19th annual Tour de Nez bike race in Reno this past Sunday.The race, which was scaled back from a multiple-day event to a one-day criterium in downtown Reno, took place on a 1.4-mile loop course that began and ended at Wingfield Park.Truckee’s Katerina Nash, who rides for the Luna Pro Team, finished third in the women’s pro division, which was won by Reno’s Amber Pierce. Tiffany Pezzulo took second, just ahead of Nash.Justin Rossi, also of the Marc Pro-Strava cycling team, finished 10th in the men’s pro division, while teammate Jesse Miller-Smith was 30th, and Conrad Snover was 13th in the Masters 35+.
