TRUCKEE, Calif. — The Truckee football program named Judy Holmer as its Volunteer of the Year and Keith Thomas as its Fan of the Year during Saturday’s homecoming halftime ceremony.
The following presentations were announced over the loud speaker:
“Judy Holmer has lived in Truckee for over 15 years. Judy is part of our very valuable medical team. Judy can be found at ever practice and at ever game, keeping a watchful eye on our players. Judy said, ‘she has enjoyed meeting other volunteers, coaches, players and their families and seeing their dedication to the Truckee Football program.’ Thank you, Judy Homer, for all that you do!”
“Keith Thomas has lived in Truckee since 1998. Has been a Truckee Football volunteer and fan since 2004. Keith Thomas has been a valuable volunteer to our football program. He helps with announcing and music for our lift-a-thon, timekeeping for freshman and JV, and announces the varsity game live on 101.5 radio. As a fan of Truckee Football, Keith said ‘he is happy that he gets to experience ‘Friday Night Lights’ as he didn’t get a chance when he was in high school.’ Thank you, Keith, for all that you do!”
