Truckee golf: Biederman, Nousiainen lead the way

Senior Allan Nousiainen and freshman Marc Biederman helped lead the Wolverines to a fourth-place finish in a league tournament hosted by Dayton last Thursday.

Nousiainen, who shot an 81 in the Dayton tournament, ranks second in the individual season standings with a 76.2 average. Only Joey Dendary of first-place Lowry has a lower average, at 75.

Biederman recorded the Wolverines’ best score of the day at the Dayton tournament with a 79. That dropped his season average to an 82.7, which is 12th best in the Northern 3A.

Alex Cramer shot a 93 for the Wolverines, who placed fourth with a team score of 471. Truckee also is fourth in the season standings. Lowry won the tournament and#8212; its fourth straight and#8212; with a score of 405. Spring Creek was second at 435 and Dayton third at 458.
