Truckee grad Lashbrook garners All-CCAA honors

WALNUT CREEK, Calif. and#8212; Senior Truckee High grad Melanie Lashbrook and teammate Rheann Fall of the Cal State Monterey Bay volleyball team grabbed two of the CCAA spots on the all-conference teams as announced by the CCAA office Wednesday.

The voting was done by the conferenceand#8217;s coaches.

and#8220;I am so thankful for the time and commitment both Melanie and Rheann put into the last four years,and#8221; said Monterey Bay head coach Jody Garry. and#8220;It is an honor for them to earn all-conference; however, they earned it. I hope this experience leaves as great of an impression on them as it did on me and our team.and#8221;



Lashbrook earned her second All-CCAA second team honor after dominating the middle this past season with a .313 attack percentage that included 294 kills. She was also a force to be reckoned with on defense, blocking a team-high 77 balls, including 13 solos.

In her four years at Cal State Monterey Bay, Lashbrook tallied a .275 attack percentage, which puts her on top of the Otter career record among hitters. She also ranks third in career blocks with a total of 203 in 293 sets.
