Truckee Little League 9-10 All-Stars rout Sparks National

The Truckee 9-10 All-Stars began the Carson City All-Star Tournament this past weekend with a 12-2 win over Sparks National.

Pitcher Austin Johnson started for Truckee and was relieved by Ethan Rohlf and Luke Smith, who also had a big game at the plate with several hits.

Truckee’s all-stars jumped out to a quick lead before the game was called on the 10-run mercy rule after the fifth inning.

The Truckee coaching staff expects a good showing from the 9-10 All-Star team, which returns four players from last year’s squad that went 3-2 and made it to the quarterfinals.

The four returning players include Austin Johnson, Ethan Rohlf, Luke Smith and Miles Guiragossian, also a pitcher who contributed a triple against Sparks National.
