Truckee Renegades come up short in first loss

The Sierra Youth Football League’s Truckee Renegade Wolverines suffered their first loss of the season versus Dayton, 25-20, this past Saturday.

The Renegades slipped to 3-1 on the season despite strong play by Dillon Kane, Nate Bromley, Joe Panelli, Eric Spillman, Connor McMullen and Gavin Kelly-Caruthers.

Devastating blocks by Max and#8220;Mongoand#8221; Kelly sprung several long plays, including a touchdown run by Patrick Hogan and two by quarterback Braedy Santens.



Dayton’s powerful running game was held in check in the second half by Wolverine defensive leaders George Skaff, Drake Riina, Owen Slusher, Matt Villalba, Eric Sather and the linebackers Mongo, Hogan and Santens.
