Truckee soccer defeats Sparks, remains perfect
The Truckee High boys soccer team defeated Sparks, 4-0, on the road Tuesday.
The first goal came 20 minutes into the contest on a direct free kick that struck the crossbar and bounced back to a well-positioned Eric Pratt, who found the back of the net for a 1-0 Wolverine lead.
Next to score was Raul Cardenas on a ball slotted through the Sparks defense to the feet of the freshman striker.
The third goal came on a crossed ball from midfielder Max Brixy to Joey Eberhardt, who redirected it into the net.
Cardenas then received the ball from the midfield and beat two defenders before scoring the final goal.
The Wolverines, who have yet to allow a goal on the season, play at North Tahoe on Tuesday at 5 p.m.
