Truckee’s girls are scheduled to host Spring Creek on Friday at 4 p.m. and Elko on Saturday at noon, while the boys play the same schools on the road.

The Truckee soccer teams earned league wins at Fallon on Friday, with the boys winning 3-0 and the girls 3-1.

Truckee’s boys (6-3-1 league) dominated play, taking 25 shots against a defensive-minded Greenwave (0-9-1) team. Junior Ingnez opened the scoring just two minutes into the game on an assist from Jose Gonzalez.

Gonzalez added a second goal in the 26th minute with a shot taken from 25 yards out, and Alex Lopez rounded out the scoring in the 61st minute on an assist from Manuel Sarabia.

The Truckee girls (9-1), coming off their first league loss against Sparks last week, scored the first goal in the 16th minute — Ava Seelenfreund assisted by Heather Pendleton.

Fallon (5-3-2) knotted the score with a goal two minutes into the second half. The Wolverines took over the lead again when Sophie Curtis scored in the 53rd minute, assisted by Marley Simpson.

Truckee then added an insurance goal in the 56th minute, from Amber Simonpietri assisted by Chloe Murphy.
