Truckee will open the second half of league against Sparks. The girls host at 4 p.m., while the boys play at Sparks.

Both Truckee soccer teams picked up league wins against Lowry on Friday, the girls by a score of 3-0 on the road and the boys 4-1 at home.

Truckee’s boys led 2-1 at the half before adding two second-half goals. Senior Hunter Simpson and junior Oscar Ingnez scored two goals apiece to lead the Wolverines, while Ingnez, Manuel Sarabia and Jose Gonzalez contributed an assist apiece.

The Wolverines, who improved to 5-2-1 in the Northern Division I-A, had 14 shots on goal compared to the Buckaroos’ four. Lowry dropped to 3-4-1 in league with the loss.



Truckee’s girls lead the standings at 8-0 after the first half of league play, while Lowry’s girls are in fifth place at 4-3-1.
