Truckee swimming | Wolverines sending 13 to Northern 4A Regionals

A total of 13 Truckee High swimmers will compete in the Northern 4A Region Swimming and Diving Championships at the Carson Aquatic Facility on Friday and potentially Saturday.

The Northern Region Swimming Trials are scheduled for Friday, with Finals on Saturday.

Truckeeand#8217;s contingent is one of the largest in the schooland#8217;s history to advance to the regional meet. The group includes senior standout Cara Silvas; Kyle Jorgensen; Braighlee Silvera; Erika Klenk; Justin Ondry; Amanda Novick; Alex Straw; Annie Kruck; Molly Ingalls; Brittany Percin; Marcus Rodarte; Kaleb Rodarte; and Alycia Wilson.

and#8220;Not only is this talented pool deep, but they are extremely fast,and#8221; said Truckee head coach Dan Ingalls, adding that Truckee has both boysand#8217; and girlsand#8217; relay teams that are ranked in the top four in the region.

Swimmers must finish in the top three in their respective event to qualify for the State Championship, which is scheduled for May 21 at the Carson Aquatic Facility.
