Truckee tennis | Boys take down South Tahoe

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE and#8212; Truckee was able to measure its tennis program on Wednesday at South Tahoe.
The Vikings and#8212; a constant thorn in the Wolverines’ side over the year and#8212; lost their home finale to Truckee, 12-6.
and#8220;We were pointing to several matches and#8212; Reno, South Tahoe, Spanish Springs and McQueen and#8212; teams that beat us last year,and#8221; said Truckee coach Ken Culter, whose team has only lost to Reno this season.
Truckee, which improved to 8-1 overall, can now look forward to hosting a first-round tennis playoff match on Tuesday. The Wolverines will host either Carson or Douglas.
Zac Sallinger, Isaiah Cutler and Jake Kamenetsky combined to win all eight of their matches as Truckee used a 9-0 sweep in singles to down the Vikings.
South Tahoe is 3-3 in league.
