Truckee volleyball spikes Fallon 3-1 on Tuesday

FALLON, Nev. — Maia Dvoracek and Madison Bromley had 19 kills apiece, lifting the Truckee volleyball team to a 3-1 win (25-12, 19-25, 25-23, 25-17) over Fallon in 3A Northern action Tuesday.

The match was level at 1-1 before the Wolverines — led by Dvoracek and Bromley — rallied back in the decisive third set to a 25-23 win. Riding the momentum, Truckee polished off Fallon in the fourth set to bag the road win.

“The biggest excitement was digging ourselves out of a deficit in the third set to win, and then to finish solid in the fourth,” said Truckee coach Erika Murphy, whose team was fueled by a 91-percent serving rate.

Mia Curtis racked up a team-high 18 digs to anchor the back row.

Jordan Brown dished out 20 set assists.

Truckee (6-4, 2-0) hosts Spring Creek for a league match at 6 p.m. Friday.
