Truckee volleyball wins again

The Truckee High volleyball team routed host Sparks 25-13, 25-12, 25-9 in a Northern 3A league match Wednesday.

Truckee improved to 10-1 in league and 25-6 overall with one match remaining in the regular season ” at Fernley Thursday night.

Senior Nikki Schneider led the Wolverines with 12 kills and two blocks. Senior Callan Finney added six kills and four aces, Kati Murphy had six kills and three aces and Kaylee Waters 15 digs.

If the Wolverines defeat Fernley ” they did in three games on Oct. 8 ” they will host the Northern 3A Regional Tournament on Nov. 8, said head coach Nicole Annaloro.

The 3A State Championship is scheduled for Nov. 13-14 in Reno.

The Lakers end their regular season with a Northern 2A league match at Pershing County (Lovelock) on Thursday night.

The Northern 2A Regional Tournament is scheduled for Nov. 7 at Pershing County High School. State is Nov. 14-15 in Northern Nevada.
