Truckee volleyball: Wolverines defeat host Vikings in straight sets

The Truckee volleyball team ran its undefeated league record to 15-0 with another win in straight sets at South Tahoe on Tuesday, 25-15, 25-16, 25-22.

Senior Katie Fisher finished with seven kills and nine digs, Maia Dvoracek had seven kills, five service aces and 17 assists, and Anais Fay had five kills and three aces.

Tatum Kula and Maddie Haley recorded two blocks apiece, Jordan Brown had 11 assists and nine digs, and Sarah Grahn-Nilson had eight digs.

The Wolverines needed to defeat Lowry in their senior farewell match Thursday to complete the league sweep. The Buckaroos, in second place at 12-2 entering the match, are the only team to win a set against Truckee in league play. Thursday’s match ended too late for publication.
