After traveling to Lowry on Friday, the Wolverines return home to host Sparks on Wednesday, Oct. 7, at 6 p.m.
Another league match, another win in straight sets for the Truckee volleyball team.
The Wolverines defeated the visiting Vikings 25-17, 25-11, 25-21 on Wednesday to run their Northern Division I-A record to 7-0. Truckee has not dropped a set in league play.
Truckee senior Anais Fay finished with 11 kills, two blocks and 10 digs, while Maia Dvoracek had 11 kills, 11 digs and 24 assists. Senior Maddie Haley played a strong match in the middle, recording three kills, a block and three service aces.
Maddie Bromley and Katie Fisher had four kills and five digs apiece, while Jordan Brown had five assists and Stephanie Randall had four. Tatum Kula added two kills.
The Wolverines are set for a rematch on the road against Lowry (4-1) on Friday to close out the first half of league play.
The Buckaroos are the only Division I-A team to defeat the Wolverines this season, 2-0, in the High Sierra Invitational on Sept. 5. Lowry is in second place behind Truckee, with its one loss coming against Dayton (4-2).
“We’re looking forward to seeing Lowry on Friday,” Truckee coach Erika Murphy said. “We are a different team than we were at the High Sierra tourney when we saw them last.”
