Truckee volleyball | Wolverines lose in five at 4A Reed

The Wolverines lost a nonleague match in five sets at 4A Reed on Friday and are now 16-5 on the season.

Truckee won the first two sets, 26-24 and 25-21, before Reed came back to take the next three, 25-22, 25-23 and 15-11 to earn the win.

The Wolverines had their best serving match of the season, with only two errors the entire night for a 98 percent service record. Their biggest difficulty was serve receive, as the Wolverines were unable to get 16 of the Reed serves in play. Reed was able to find holes in the Truckee defense during the last three sets.

Annie Reiswig tallied 25 serves and four aces for the Wolverines, while Krysta Murphy led passing with a rating of 1.9 and 13 digs. Reiswig had 11 kills followed by Jillian Akers with 10. Kiersten Knoppel had seven blocks. Natalya Jones returned to play as the libero and added to Truckee’s passing ability.
