Truckee volleyball | Wolverines make quick work of Whittell

Truckee defended its home court with a quick three-game sweep in a Mount Rose League volleyball match against Whittell on Friday.

The Wolverines dominated the match, 25-10, 25-15, 25-11, to improve to 12-8 overall and 2-0 in Mount Rose League play. Whittell is 12-9 overall and 2-1 in the MRL.

Senior middle blocker Kiersten Knoppel tallied 10 kills for the Wolverines, while Mackenzie Redner finished with nine kills, Annie Reiswig had seven service aces, four digs and four kills, and Krysta Murphy had four kills.

Senior setter Brittany Thomas posted 22 assists and three digs, Kaylee Lewis had two blocks, and Katie Mohun and Chelsea Mohun each had three digs.
