Truckee volleyball: Wolverines rout visiting Railroaders

The Truckee volleyball team opened the second half of league play Wednesday with a win in straight sets over visiting Sparks, 25-10, 25-13, 25-9.

The Wolverines are 9-0 in the Northern Division I-A and 16-8 overall. The Railroaders fell to 0-6 in league (3-9 overall).

Senior Maddie Haley tallied 10 kills, two service aces and two blocks, while Maia Dvoracek finished with seven kills, 15 aces, eight digs and 20 assists.

Katie Fisher contributed seven kills and two aces, Tatum Kula had four kills, and Ellie Simpson had two aces. Stephanie Randall finished with five assists and Jordan Brown had four.

Truckee is scheduled to play at Fallon this Friday and will host Spring Creek and Elko next Friday and Saturday.
