Truckee volleyball | Wolverines win Mount Rose League opener

The Truckee volleyball team bounced back after dropping the first set to defeat Whittell in four games Tuesday, 22-25, 25-17, 25-16, 25-19.

Junior Mackenzie Redner smashed 22 kills to go along with her 15 digs, while setter Gabby Moretti finished with 37 assists and 15 service points.

Kestlie Stefanelli also had 15 service points and a team-high four aces and 38 digs, Mel Jones had five kills, Becca Berelson had four kills, and Chelsea Mohun had three kills. Lauren Peak recorded 10 service points.

The Wolverines improved to 10-9 overall and 1-0 in Mount Rose League play.

UP NEXT: Truckee plays at Sparks on Friday and Lowry on Saturday.
