Truckee wrestling | Host Wolverines finish second in Mountain Man Classic

TRUCKEE, Calif. and#8212; The host Wolverines finished runner-up to Incline in the Mountain Man Classic wrestling tournament this past Saturday.

and#8220;They tried their best and thatand#8217;s all we asked for,and#8221; said Truckee head coach Danny Curtis after the match.

Truckee and Incline finished deadlocked in a 42-all tie, and the Highlanders were awarded a one-point win because they had more pins.



Javier Virrey finished 3-0 on the day to remain undefeated this season. Tyler Curtis also went 3-0, as well as Mitchel Harrity, Dilon Clifton and Dustin Gwerder. Justin Carter went 2-1 after dealing with a hip injury from wrestling on Wendsday.
