UPickEm: College bowl games this time

Calling all college football fanatics and bowl game brainiacs. The Sierra Sun and Sugar Bowl Resort are teaming up to offer college football fans the ultimate chance to prove your knowledge of the game ” the UPickEm College Bowl Game Challenge.

Register online at http://www.SierraSun.com/BowlGames, then log in and pick the winner of every bowl game from the Dec. 20 Eagle Bank Bowl to the FedEx BCS National Championship Game on Jan. 8.

Players receive one point for each correct pick, with the National Championship game acting as tie-breaker.



Players have up until 15 minutes before the start of each game to make their picks. And if you forget to make a pick, the computer will automatically pick the team that more people across the nation have chosen.

And now for the best part ” the prizes.




The local winner will receive four lift tickets to Sugar Bowl Ski Resort, home of some of the deepest snow in the Sierra and a great place to get in some laps before kicking back with a beer in the lodge to watch the games.

Second and third place will each receive two lift tickets to Sugar Bowl as well.

It’s easy to sign up, and you don’t have to know anything about college football to make your picks as you can see on-screen which team has been picked by the most people.
