UPickEm: Pat Gallant wins final week of regular season, Bob Habeger remains in lead

We wrapped up the final week of the regular NFL season this past weekend with a couple great do-or-die games. San Diego, Miami, Minnesota and Philadelphia all played their way into the postseason with wins on Sunday, making for an exciting end to the regular season.

It wasn’t so close this week in the Sierra Sun’s Pro Football UPickEm contest with Tahoe City’s Pat Gallant on top with 14 points, followed by another Tahoe City local, Pete Perata, with 13.

The top of the season-long standings hasn’t changed much since last week, with Bob Habeger still on top with 170 points, Greg Paulson and Jim Scott right behind with 168 apiece, and plenty of other players in the hunt for the ultimate bragging rights.

Think you can do better? Then get in the game now at SierraSun.com/ProFootball.

Each week you pick the winner for each pro football game up to 15 minutes before it is scheduled to start. And each week the player with the most correct picks (see Web site for tie-breaker rules) wins their choice of a Blue Coyote or Pete ‘N Peters gift certificate, with second place taking the prize not selected by the winner.

In addition, we publish the names of the top 10 or so local players every Wednesday, meaning that even if you don’t win, at least you can brag if you beat your friends.

There’s still plenty of time to win weekly prizes, so get in the game! Log on to http://www.SierraSun.com/ProFootball now and sign up.

And don’t forget about our College Bowl Game contest going on now at http://www.SierraSun.com/BowlGames. It’s not too late to play.
