Varsity girls basketball team wins first game of playoffs
Truckee’s varsity girls basketball team beat Yerington 50-37 at home in the first game of the NIAA Northern 3A playoffs Tuesday night.
The Sierra Sun reported in Wednesday’s sports section that the game would be against North Tahoe, which was incorrect.
The Wolverines, a No. 3 seed entering the tournament, will play Lowry, the No. 2 seed, Friday at 12:20 p.m. in Winnemucca.
