With state nearing, Truckee golfers top AAA

With an average of 403.4 stroked per match, the Tahoe-Truckee High School golf team is more than 20 strokes better than Spring Creek, its nearest competitor in the AAA standings.

What’s more, four TTHS golfers round out the top five in individual division standings.

With a 77.8 average, Matt Lundbeck is second in the division amonga field of 52 golfers.

In third is Tony Neadeau with a 79.8, followed by Nick Franklin with an 80 and Chris Gerdin with an 81.

Mark Lundbeck with a 82.3 and jon Reedy with an 84.2 are ranked seventh and eighth, respectively.

At its most recent meet, the team took to the links at Spring Creek High School April 30.

With eight division rivals on the course, Truckee (shooting 427) came out on top, 10 points ahead of Spring Creek.

– Tony Neadeau -43, 45 = 88

– Chris Gerdin – 43,41 = 84

– Matt Lundbeck -42, 42 = 84

– Mark Lundbeck -42, 43 = 85

– Jon Reedy – 42, 44 = 86

– Dustin Gilmore -44-44 = 88

Overall standings

Matt Lundbeck finished fourth overall in the standings, behind Spring Creek’s Kevin Beckner (79), North Tahoe’s Conor Caulkett (83) and Justin Nelson (83).

Of 36 golfers, no Truckee player finished below ninth place.
