Varsity boys vs. Sparks: The Truckee High varsity boys soccer team beat Sparks 2-0 in Truckee Tuesday. Truckee goals were scored by Travis Ganong and Al Virrey. The Wolverines are 4-0 this season.

Varsity girls vs. Sparks: The Truckee High varsity girls soccer team beat Sparks 5-0 in Truckee Tuesday. Truckee goals were scored by Melissa Kleffman, Alex O’Neil, Whitney Hardy (2) and Alexis Fallow. Assists were provided by Fallow, Kleffman, O’Neil and Emilia Skytte. Truckee’s record is 3-0-1.

The Truckee High girls golf team traveled to Elko, Nev. to play at the Spring Creek golf course Sept. 17, and finished fourth with a total score of 616. Truckee’s Renee Cardinali shot a team low 92. Jenny Womack shot 101, Emma Shaffer 122, Kim Snyder 158, Sage Johnson 143 and Emily Adams 160. Spring Creek placed first with a score of 514, followed by Lowry at 515 and North Tahoe at 600.

The girls golf team hosted a league tournament at Old Greenwood in Truckee Sept. 23, finishing third with a score of 615. Cardinali and Womack each finished with scores of 99. No other team had two golfers score below 100. Ally Carroll shot 128 for Truckee, Emma Shaffer 139 and Amanda Thorsby 150. Lowry placed first in the tournament with a score of 548, and Spring Creek was second at 564. North Tahoe finished at 661, Dayton 696, Fernley 719, Yerington 725 and Sparks 726.

Truckee plays again Friday at Sparks at 10 a.m.
