Wood, Lancaster bring home hardware from USASA Nationals

Sydney Lancaster of Tahoe City earned second place overall in the Skier Women division while Truckeeand#8217;s Ruby Wood won the national title in the Snowboard Youth Women division at the USASA National Championships.

The event was held at Copper Mountain, Colo., from April 3-9.

Wood and Lancaster, both of whom are members of the Northstar Ski and Snowboard Team, performed consistently well in all of their events to earn their overall awards.

Lancaster placed fourth in halfpipe, fourth in slopestyle and ninth in ski cross, while Wood raced to a third in giant slalom, fifth in slalom, fifth in boardercross, 12th in halfpipe and 28th in slopestyle to bring home the top prize.
