Youth soccer team finishes runner-up in Nevada Zephyr Cup Tournament

Sierra Mountain Soccer Cluband#8217;s U11 Girland#8217;s team, TNT Galaxy, took second place at the Nevada Zephyr Cup Tournament in Reno on June 13 and 14.
The team, led by Head Coach Missy Price and Assistant Coach Jarrod Semmens, scored an impressive 12 goals in its first three games while shutting out all three opponents.
The final game on Sunday proved to be the most challenging, as TNT Galaxy scored first but could not hang on to the lead in the second half, when their competition from Elk Grove scored twice to take the win.
TNT Galaxy had an amazing spring season during which they played more than 29 games and scored more than 63 goals while shutting out 11 teams. They also put together two teams in April to compete in the UFA Micro Six tournament, in which they took first and second place.
