BoomBox & The Polish Ambassador – 9 p.m., 14 State Route 28. We are very excited to announce a 2 Night Run with BoomBox & The Polish Ambassador “Tahoe Vacation” on Jan. 16-17th 2026! This show is definitely not to be missed! Tickets: $35 ADV/DOS BoomBox: A little bit of house, blues, funk, rock, and a whole lot of soul blast through BoomBox. Electronic rock duo BoomBox, consisting of brothers Zion Rock Godchaux and Kinsman MacKay bring heavy organic grooves and soulful beats that penetrate through the dancefloor, and on to all facets of the human experience. The Polish Ambassador: Musician. Producer. Beatsmith. Recording artist. Composer. Dance-floor general. Label-head. A mystery man of many hats, The Polish Ambassador rocks more than just a trademark jumpsuit, authoring sublime, intentional artistic works, animated safaris in technicolor sound. At first breath, The Polish Ambassador was an experiment, David Sugalski’s sound-art passion project that came to life. An inventive, imaginary character born of humble, humorous beginnings, he found his first audiences through the support of primitive digital radio stations. Today, TPA is among the premier EDM/live crossover artists in the country with millions of listeners around the world; he’s consistently in-demand at the live music-focused gatherings and boutique electronic festivals from coast to coast. Founder of independent label Jumpsuit Records, an environmentalist and early progenitor of the permaculture action movement, the world’s funkiest diplomat is here to party with a purpose. DNA Detectives with Dr. Andrea Schreier – 5-7 p.m., Sunnyside Lodge, 1850 West Lake Boulevard. DNA Detectives: Using DNA in the Environment to Study Fish and Wildlife Dr. Andrea Schreier, Director of the UC Davis Genomic Variation Lab. Every organism leaves traces of its genetic identity behind—tiny fragments of DNA shed into water, soil, and air. Scientists can now collect and analyze these genetic clues, known as environmental DNA (or eDNA), to detect species without ever seeing or capturing them. In this talk, Dr. Andrea Schreier of UC Davis will reveal how her team uses eDNA to study fish and wildlife across California and beyond. From tracking endangered species and invasive invaders in the Bay-Delta to monitoring fish communities in restored wetlands, eDNA is transforming how we understand and manage aquatic ecosystems.
