Gray’s Crossing Golf Course announces early 2026 season opening due to unprecedented Spring conditions

TRUCKEE, Calif.– Tahoe Mountain Club announced that Gray’s Crossing Golf Course will officially kick off the 2026 golf season early on Friday, April 24, 2026.

Following a period of exceptionally warm weather, the club’s maintenance crew has worked diligently to prepare the course ahead of schedule. Golfers can expect premier playing surfaces, with current conditions cited as some of the best seen coming out of a Tahoe winter.

“Our team has taken full advantage of the recent weather to get the course ready for an early start. The scheduled opening of Gray’s Crossing on April 24, 2026, marks the earliest opening day in the course’s history”, said Joe Valente, Tahoe Mountain Club’s Director of Agronomy. “The playing surface is in fantastic shape, and we are eager to welcome golfers back for what promises to be a great season.”

2026 Season Launch Details:

  • Early Opening Date: Friday, April 24, 2026.
  • Tee Time Bookings: Reservations for the early opening became available starting April 2, 2026. Moving forward, Tahoe Mountain Club Members can book 45 days in advance, and the public can book 30 days in advance.
  • Public Golf 8-Pack: The club’s only public multi-play offering—featuring 4 rounds at Gray’s Crossing and 4 rounds at Old Greenwood—is available for purchase now through May 15 for $1,360.
  • Old Greenwood Update: While Gray’s Crossing opens early, sister course Old Greenwood remains on track for its May 15 (weather pending) opening to complete a refresh of its frontnine cart paths.
