Dragonfly in Truckee benefit to help send students abroad

TRUCKEE, Calif., and#8212; Dragonfly Restaurant in downtown Truckee will host a benefit dinner on Monday, June 7, donating 20 percent of the evenings proceeds to help send local students abroad this summer. Plan to attend this benefit dinner to meet these ambitious students who plan to tour four countries with the People to People Ambassadorship Program.

The local delegation representing the Tahoe region departs June 21 for Europe and will be traveling to France, Italy, Austria and Switzerland. Their mandate is to promote cultural understanding and generate world peace. Through this experience, these students hope to learn more about other cultures and share their American traditions and values.
