Downtown Truckee Wine, Walk & Shop seeks volunteers for 22nd Annual Event
TRUCKEE, Calif. — The annual Downtown Truckee Wine, Walk & Shop event is seeking volunteers and is offering complimentary tickets to those who contribute a three-hour shift.
Since 2004, the event has become a local tradition, drawing nearly 1,000 attendees to historic downtown Truckee and donating nearly $60,000 to area non-profit organizations.
This year’s event, scheduled for Oct. 4 from noon to 4 p.m., will benefit the Tahoe Food Hub, a non-profit dedicated to building a food system that supports regenerative farming practices and increases local food access. Since 2020, Tahoe Food Hub has distributed more than 18,000 “Giving Boxes” to families in need.
Participants can enjoy exquisite wines, local boutique shopping, and culinary offerings at approximately 25 venues throughout downtown.
The event is looking for friendly, energetic volunteers to help with setup, wine pouring, registration, cleanup, and more. Shifts are available from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. Volunteers who sign up for a three-hour shift will receive a complimentary ticket to enjoy the event.
Those interested in volunteering can sign up online at TruckeeWineWalk.com/volunteer. Advance tickets for the event are $70 and are available online or at local outlets, including the Truckee Welcome Center and Bluestone Jewelry & Wine on Donner Pass Road.
