TRUCKEE/NORTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. – The Truckee Chamber of Commerce, North Tahoe Chamber, and Tahoe Prosperity Center have formalized a regional partnership to expand and strengthen workforce development efforts through the newly rebranded Truckee North Tahoe Jobs Collective. Building on the success of the Truckee Jobs Collective, the expanded Truckee North Tahoe Jobs Collective will leverage new regional partnerships, resources, and outreach efforts to better serve employers, job seekers, and communities throughout the greater Truckee-Tahoe region.

“The Truckee Chamber of Commerce launched the Jobs Collective in 2019 to address one of the region’s most significant economic challenges: workforce recruitment and retention,” said Jessica Penman, Truckee Chamber president and CEO. “The platform has served as a centralized resource connecting local employers with job seekers throughout the Truckee-Tahoe region, so partnering with the North Tahoe Chamber and the Tahoe Prosperity Center to expand its ability to serve businesses and our local workforce was a natural next step.”

Key initiatives of the expanded platform include:

  • Rebranding and expanding the platform as the Truckee North Tahoe Jobs Collective
  • Increasing employer participation and job postings throughout the region
  • Enhancing workforce data and regional collaboration
  • Expanding marketing and outreach efforts to connect more job seekers with local opportunities
  • Developing workforce-focused programming, workshops, networking opportunities, and hiring events
  • Hosting two regional job fairs annually—one in Truckee and one in North Tahoe

The partnership represents a significant investment in the long-term economic health of the region. By helping local businesses attract and retain talent, the Truckee North Tahoe Jobs Collective supports business sustainability, workforce development, and a stronger local economy.

“Workforce challenges don’t stop at jurisdictional boundaries, and neither should the solutions,” said Derrick Martin, technical director of Tahoe Prosperity Center. “Tahoe Prosperity Center’s role is to connect partners around shared economic priorities, and this collaboration demonstrates what’s possible when chambers, employers, educators, workforce organizations, and public agencies work together to strengthen the regional economy. By aligning our efforts, we’re creating a more connected workforce ecosystem that benefits businesses, job seekers, and communities across Truckee and North Lake Tahoe.”

The collaboration brings together the expertise, resources, and networks of all three organizations to create a more comprehensive workforce development resource. The partnership also recognizes that workforce challenges cross organizational and jurisdictional boundaries and require regional solutions.

The Truckee North Tahoe Jobs Collective will continue evolving to meet the changing needs of employers and job seekers through innovative programming, expanded outreach, stronger employer engagement, and enhanced workforce resources that support the region’s future prosperity.
