KINGS BEACH, Calif. – Volunteers are invited to participate in the 31st annual North Lake Tahoe Clean Up Day on Saturday, June 6. Coordinated by the Kings Beach District with support from the North Tahoe Chamber, the community clean up will take place from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. in Kings Beach, Crystal Bay, Tahoe Vista, and Carnelian Bay.
Registration will take place at Tahoe Backyard (8428 Trout Avenue) in Kings Beach beginning at 9:00 a.m., where participants will be given bags and gloves, and directed to clean up a specific area.
“Our annual Clean Up Day typically attracts over 100 volunteers who want to help beautify our community and demonstrate the care and pride we all take in the place we call home,” said Kings Beach District Manager Darcy Parrillo. “It’s an essential piece of our Destination Stewardship initiatives, and a fun day together.”
Once bags are full, volunteers may leave them at any corner in Kings Beach and truck crews will pick them up until 1:00 p.m. Trash collected in Crystal Bay, Tahoe Vista, and Carnelian Bay will only be picked up along Hwy 28.
Volunteers are invited to the Clean Up Day After Party at Tahoe Backyard from 12:00 to 3:00 p.m. for live music, connection, a watercoloring opportunity by Chickadee Art Collective and complimentary tacos from Lumbre, as well as aguas frescas from Dulce Gula.
Participants are encouraged to learn more and complete a liability waiver online in advance here.
