Palisades Tahoe delays Opening Day, new date to be announced
OLYMPIC VALLEY, Calif. — Palisades Tahoe is pausing its originally targeted Opening Day of November 26. With early-season snowfall remaining limited and only brief windows for snowmaking, we have not yet been able to build the safe, durable base required to open. A new Opening Day is still to be announced, and we will share an update as soon as conditions allow.
Our mountain operations, grooming, and snowmaking teams are ready to go and will continue working around the clock. As soon as temperatures drop and storms arrive, we’ll get lifts turning. Our community’s love for this mountain inspires everything we do, and we’ll be out there with you the moment Mother Nature allows.
Thanksgiving Week Events Continue as Planned
Even with the delayed opening, we still have a full schedule of celebrations and seasonal experiences throughout the week:
- Shop, Dine & Ski Free (Nov 17–26): Guests earn a free lift ticket for every $750 spent in The Village at Palisades Tahoe.
- Aerial Tram (Nov 27- Nov 30) OPEN for sightseeing 10am – 4:20pm
- Thanksgiving Dinner at Olympic House (Nov 27): A festive grand buffet with two seating times.
- Welcome to Winter Celebration (Nov 29): A kickoff to the season featuring music, festivities, and family fun.
- FORGED Community Reception (Nov 29): Our annual gathering honoring local athletes, mountain legends, and the community that defines Palisades Tahoe.
