Tahoe National Brewing Company finally settles in
TAHOE CITY, Calif. – It’s official. On Wednesday, August 13, Tahoe National Brewing Company finally added their sign to the lineup on the marquee on North Lake Boulevard.
Even though the business didn’t really get off the ground until about five years ago, it took some time for owner David Renkert to feel like they have arrived.
“Honestly, the first year or two, it was just not ready to put us on. I wanted to know that we were going to be here in a couple of years,” said Renkert. “Everyone wants to do the one-year anniversary – I want the five-year anniversary. It’s all about are we here in five and ten and twenty.”

But after some nudging from the staff, Renkert finally felt like it was time.
“It did become kind of a joke, like I don’t need a sign – look at all the great word of mouth we’re getting. But these guys are right, it’s time to put up a sign. So we did.”
The popular restaurant and brewery have become well known for their freshly crafted beers (including their amazing ginger ale) and their globally-inspired approach to their ever-evolving menu – not to mention their views of the lake.
Cheers to the next five years of contributing to the food and beverage scene in Tahoe City.
Tahoe National Brewing Company is located at 850 N Lake Blvd #21 in Tahoe City, CA (behind the current Safeway location). For more information visit their website at tahoenational.beer or by calling them at 530-807-1031.
