The Tahoe City Downtown Association and Foothill Farmers Market Association proudly present another summer of fresh, California certified farm-fresh fruits, vegetables and more during the Thursday Farmers Market in Downtown Tahoe City at Commons Beach. Please note new market hours, 8 a.m.-noon and the designated public parking areas. The Tahoe City Downtown Association asks everyone to respect the limited parking in front of local businesses adjacent to Commons Beach.

Carmen, your real estate consultant, shares her passion with the community by providing monthly, guided hikes in our beautiful backyard and its endless trail systems. Aikido is the non-fighting Martial Art. Students learn how to move in ways that neutralize rather than accelerate conflict, how to stay calm, grounded and centered under stress; and to manage fear and anger. New options for cooperation and or self defense open through the practice of Aikido’s throws and pins, safe falling and rolling techniques. Parents are welcome and encouraged to join their children in these classes, June 22-July 3, ages 8-11, 4-5 p.m., 12 and older 5-6 p.m. Cost is $75; drop in $15, Truckee Vets Hall. Join Olympian, LUNA Pro and Truckee resident Katerina Nash for the Third Annual Cross Country Skills Clinic, Tuesday, June 28, Northstar-at-Tahoe, 5:30-7:30 p.m., at the gondola. Participants will work on technical mountain biking skills that will help push their limits in cross country mountain biking. Bring a $15 donation for the Breast Cancer Fund.
