Truckee Police Logs: Man arrested with heroin, RX pills, hypodermic needles
TRUCKEE, Calif. — Below are select incidents from the Truckee Police Department’s press log for Oct. 20 to Oct. 29, along with previously unreported incidents.
Oct. 20
At 8:26 a.m. at a school on Donner Pass Road, the TPD school resource officer was contacted by TTUSD administration regarding a vandalism.
At 9:53 p.m. at an undisclosed location, vehicle stop for code violations resulted in the driver being arrested for driving under the influence and driving without a driver’s license.
Oct. 21
At 1:10 a.m. on Northwoods Boulevard, offer responded to a call of a vehicle collision with a tree. The driver fled the scene before officers arrived; the vehicle was towed.
At 3:54 p.m., on Donnington Lake, offers took a late report of an item taken from an unlocked vehicle. The item was later recovered during a search warrant of a vehicle in police custody for unrelated theft.
At 10:57 p.m. on Donner Pass Road, an officer came upon a vehicle occupied by a person who was passed out inside. It was discovered the male subject was in possession of heroin, prescription pills, numerous hypodermic needle and drug paraphernalia. He was arrested for narcotics possession and being under the influence of a controlled substance.
Oct. 22
At 6:43 p.m. on Union Mills Road, officers responded to a report of domestic violence not resulting in injury. One adult female was arrested for misdemeanor domestic violence.
At 10:38 p.m. at an undisclosed location, a subject was staggering in the roadway and was close to being struck by a pickup. The woman was found to be extremely intoxicated and unable to give the location of her residence for a ride home, so she was arrested and booked into Truckee Jail.
Oct. 24
At 11:34 a.m. on Keiser Avenue, an estranged husband and wife were involved in an altercation. Actions from both parties did not rise to a criminal leave. Report taken.
Oct. 26
At 11:33 a.m. on Schussing Way, a victim reported theft of a vehicle part from his driveway. No suspect information; report taken.
At 1:30 p.m. at an undisclosed location, marijuana clippings were located in a roadway by a PUD employee.
At 6:39 p.m. on Pine Avenue, a mother reported that her adult son had threatened her. No crime; report taken.
Oct. 27
At midnight at an undisclosed location, a reporting party saw a subject stumble and fall into a ditch. the subject was contacted while having trouble walking home and was determined to be extremely intoxicated and was arrested.
At 8 a.m. on Dorchester Drive, a report was taken for a father drinking alcohol in a vehicle while picking up his child from school.
At 11:35 a.m. on Deerfield Drive, a victim reorder her adult son had vandalized her vehicle. Victim signed a citizen arrest form, and the son was arrested.
At 3:52 p.m. on Somerset Drive, a victim reported vandalism occurred overnight to his truck. Report taken.
At 9:56 p.m. on Boca View Court, a husband and wife were reported to be in a fight that got physical. Suspect left prior to officer arrival.
Oct. 29
At 2 p.m. on Meadow Way, a suspect was arrested for theft from a local thrift store.
At 3:52 p.m. on West River Street, a stolen vehicle from Grass Valley was recovered.
