TAHOE CITY, Calif. — Tahoe local author Todd Borg was guest speaker at the Aug. 12 Tahoe League for Charity “lunch and speaker series.” The author of the Owen McKenna Tahoe mystery series, Borg gave a riveting synopsis of his action-packed plots and his recurring colorful cast of characters, everyone’s favorite being McKenna’s sidekick Spot, a harlequin Great Dane who adds an unusual brand of heroism and comic relief to the mix.
An award-winning author, Borg portrays a zeal that has produced a following of loyal readers clamoring for more. The Tahoe setting is skillfully painted in Borg’s words giving the local Tahoe reader a sense of familiarity as well as a great ride through the fast-paced twists and turns of crime solving.
The first book in this addictive series is “Tahoe Death Fall” and the latest and 11th in the series is “Tahoe Chase,” another winner and many say the best, keeping you enthralled and on the edge of your seat.
Tahoe League for Charity holds its speaker, luncheon series on the second Monday of each month at Jake’s on the Lake in Tahoe City. For information and reservations call Joanne Domingue at 530-525-7579.
