A weak upper low pressure system off the Pacific Northwest coast will bring a dry and stable southwest flow across the Tahoe area today.
Highs today are forecast to reach the mid to upper 60s around the lake with southwest winds 10 to 20 mph in the afternoon. Lows tonight are expected to drop into the mid to upper 30s under mostly clear skies.
A low pressure trough and associated cold front moving into the Pacific Northwest on Tuesday will bring an increase in clouds and southwest winds to the Tahoe Basin by afternoon.
Little change in temperatures are expected on Tuesday with highs in the mid to upper 60s at lake level.
Southwest winds will increase to around 15 to 30 mph Tuesday afternoon around the lake with local gusts to 40 mph in the more exposed and wind prone areas.
The cold front is forecast to push across the area on Wednesday with cooler temperatures and a slight chance of showers north of I80.
