North Tahoe, Truckee residents asked to take mental health survey

TRUCKEE, Calif. – The Community Collaborative of Tahoe Truckee (CCTT), a program of Tahoe Truckee Community Foundation, is requesting those living in North Tahoe – Truckee to participate in a confidential survey. The survey will measure quality of life, community engagement, and behavioral health needs. Your anonymous participation will help local organizations develop programs to better address the health needs of your neighbors, colleagues, families, and loved ones. The survey is open from November 13, 2025, to February 7, 2026.

Past surveys have led to: increased access to mental health programs and providers; community campaigns to reduce stigma around mental health and seeking help; substance use and abuse prevention, intervention, and treatment in youth and adults; and a significant increase in awareness of available mental health resources.

“When you anonymously share your experiences, you shape decisions that can help your peers, friends, and neighbors. This is true whether you take the survey in a moment in which you feel supported and well, or when you could use a little extra support in some area- as we all do at times. Your voice and thoughts can improve the lives of all who live here,” said Maeve Donovan, TTCF Program Manager.

To participate, visit http://www.prcsurvey.com/begin/NorthTahoe2026 or find the survey on http://www.ttcf.net. For Spanish, toggle the upper left side of the survey. TTCF is also partnering with the national research firm PRC to survey local mental health providers and conduct phone interviews with 350+ people through February. Surveys and phone interviews will be conducted in both English and Spanish.

Surveys are part of a larger effort, supported by the Katz Amsterdam Foundation, to share and learn from challenges and solutions across Mountain West ski resort towns and build upon those from previous years (2020, 2022, 2024).  All information collected helps TTCF and CCTT partners fulfill the strategic priorities outlined in Tahoe-Truckee’s Regional Behavioral Health Roadmap (available at http://www.ttcf.net/resources/). The roadmap is part of the mental health work advanced through the partnership between TTCF, CCTT, and the Katz Amsterdam Foundation.
